O am y ffydd symudai draw
Yr holl fynyddau sydd gerllaw;
A theimlo ysbryd gweddi wiw
Am weled llwyddiant
tŷ fy Nuw:
Dy gariad
at drueiniaid byd
Ennillo fy serchiadau ' gyd.
Dymuniad cryf fy enaid yw
Cael sel er achub dynolryw -
I dynu pentewynion tân
O'r fflam angherddol, fawr a mân;
Eu troi at Dduw all faddeu'n rhad,
A'u cadw'n fyw
trwy Grist a'i waed.
Dymunwn brynu'r amser drud,
A byw i hyny yn y byd;
Treulio fy mywyd dros y llu
Sydd heb adnabod Iesu cu;
Cyhoeddi'r genadwri fawr,
A byw er lles trueiniaid llawr.
Helaetha, llanwa nghalon, Ior,
A dwyfol gariad fel y môr;
Ac yna treulia'm nerth,
heb ball,
I'w gwared hwy
o rwydau'r fall;
A dwyn y crwydriaid adre'n ol
I'r noddfa gu sydd yn dy gôl.

Tôn [88.88.88]: Bremen (Georg Neumark 1621-81) |
O for the faith that would move away
All the mountains hereabout;
And feel a spirit of worthy prayer
To see the prosperity
of the house of my God:
Let thy love
towards the wretches of the world
Win all my affections.
The strong desire of my soul is
To have a zeal to save humankind -
To pull firebrands
From the intense flame, great and small;
To turn them to God who can forgive freely,
And keep them alive
through Christ and his blood.
I would desire to redeem the precious time,
And live to this of all things;
To expend my life for the multitude
Who do not know dear Jesus;
To publish the great message,
With life for the wretches of earth.
Enlarge, fill my heart, Lord,
With divine love like the sea;
And then I will expend my strength,
without fail,
In delivering them
from the nets of pestilence;
And lead the wanderers back home
To the dear refuge which is in thy bosom.

Give me the faith which can remove
And sink the mountain to a plain;
Give me the childlike praying love,
Which longs to build
Thy house again;
Thy love,
let it my heart overpower,
And all my simple soul devour.
I want an even strong desire,
I want a calmly fervent zeal,
To save poor souls out of the fire,
To snatch them from the verge of hell,
And turn them to a pardoning God,
And quench the brands
in Jesus' blood.
I would the precious time redeem,
And longer live for this alone,
To spend and to be spent for them
Who have not yet my Savior known;
Fully on these my mission prove,
And only breathe, to breathe Thy love.
My talents, gifts, and graces, Lord,
Into Thy blessed hands receive;
And let me live to preach Thy Word,
And let me to Thy glory live;
My every sacred moment spend
In publishing the sinner's Friend.
Enlarge, inflame, and fill my heart
With boundless charity divine,
So shall I
all my strength exert,
And love them
with a zeal like Thine,
And lead them to Thy open side,
The sheep for whom the Shepherd died.
